PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator capable of securing the mounting area of an integrated circuit element even when downsizing of the piezoelectric oscillator is advanced, using the conventional integrated circuit element, and keeping a production cost. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric oscillator includes: a container body having a recessed space; a piezoelectric oscillation element and the integrated circuit element which are mounted inside the recessed space; and a lid body for airtightly sealing the recessed space. The piezoelectric oscillator includes: a mounting part formed at a position higher than the bottom surface of the recessed space; and a piezoelectric oscillation element mounting pad formed in the mounting part. The top of the integrated circuit element is positioned between the corner parts of the container body, and the integrated circuit element mounting pad is arranged on the bottom surface of the recessed space correspondingly to the mounting position of the integrated circuit element.
