PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can reduce noises generated by a suction means, and which can stably record an image over a long period of time by preventing the pollution of the inside and outside of the recording apparatus by dust and the poor operation of the recording apparatus. SOLUTION: This recording apparatus performs recording to a recording material 4 by means of a recording head 1 on the basis of image information. The inside of the recording apparatus is provided with: a suction means which has a suction duct 11 (13) for sucking air in the apparatus from a suction port 10 (5), and an exhaust fan 12 (14); and a sound adjusting means which is composed of a Helmholtz resonator 15 arranged inside the suction means.
