PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing device in which the fluid level of a lubricating oil placed between a shaft and a sleeve from being lowered and the lubricating oil from leaking, a spindle motor having the fluid bearing device, and a recording/reproducing device. SOLUTION: In this fluid bearing device, a resin 31 is placed in the gap enclosed in the joining portion between the shaft 12 inserted into the bearing hole of the sleeve 11 and a rotor hub 15 attached to one end of the shaft 12. A weld part 32 by a laser welding is formed at the axial upper end of the joining portion between the shaft 12 and the rotor hub 15 along the circumferential direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
