A method for driving a display panel is provided to improve vertical brightness and faint lines by driving gate lines corresponding to scan lines based on a sequence during different image intervals. A display panel includes a first scan line. The first scan line includes plural sub-pixels and first and second parts of the sub-pixels. The first and second parts of the sub-pixels are controlled by first and second gate lines, respectively. Sub-pixels of the first and second parts are arranged alternately. The first gate line is driven during a first image interval. Then, the second gate line is driven(a). The second gate line is driven first during a second image interval. Then, the first gate line is driven(b).
