<p>A method of making injection molded microstructured articles for drug delivery and tissue fluid sampling by injection molding the articles onto a carrier web to then convey the articles during the manufacturing process. The molded articles are attached to the web by closing the mold over a portion of the web prior to injection. This is particularly beneficial where the article has a highly sensitive surface, such as an array of delicate microneedles for drug delivery or fluid sampling. It also facilitates subsequent processing, which may include applying drug coatings and other processing.</p> |
