<p>This invention relates to a LED lighting device having a plurality of LEDs, and a LED drive system. The LED drive system includes basic light circuitry for generating, for each LED, a basic current causing continuous basic light output of the LED. Additionally, the LED drive system includes flash light circuitry, for generating, for each LED, a momentary flash current through the LED, which causes a momentary flash light output. An average current amplitude of the flash current is higher than an average current amplitude of said basic current. Thereby flashes, or twinkles, will be observed by a person watching the LED lighting device.</p> |
