Process for welding a metal foil to a cylindrical metal pin

The molybdenum foil (1) is pressed onto the cylindrical molybdenum pin (2) by a movable gas nozzle. The region of the foil which adjoins the pin is heated and melted in punctiform fashion using laser pulses to form weld spots (3). The foil and the pin are joined mutually at the adjoining region, after cooling the molten material. An independent claim is also included for a lamp with current leadthroughs passing through a closed lamp vessel.
