A brake control system for a motor vehicle and a method of controlling a braking system of a motor vehicle. A Hill Hold operation is automatically initiated, under certain given conditions, when it is detected that the brake pedal (5) of the vehicle has been released as the vehicle is standing still. An initiated Hill Hold operation is terminated when it is established that the driver of the vehicle is not wearing the seat belt (14). |
