摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of a hybrid vehicle capable of operating a motor generator in all vehicle speed regions without requiring the motor generator of large torque by reducing the size of the whole device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This driving device is provided with an engine E, the motor generator MG, and a transmission. The transmission has an input shaft 1 for inputting driving force from the engine E, a counter shaft 2 arranged in parallel with the input shaft 1, and a continuously variable transmission mechanism 4 for transmitting engine speed inputted into the input shaft 1 to the counter shaft 2 by a prescribed shift ratio. An output shaft 3 connected so that the driving force may be transmitted from the counter shaft 2 is arranged coaxially with the input shaft 1 and in parallel with the counter shaft 2. The motor generator MG is coaxially arranged at a position between the input shaft 1 and the output shaft 3. The driving device is provided with a driving force transmission mechanism capable of setting a "low speed mode" for transmitting the driving force generated by the motor generator MG to the output shaft 3 via the counter shaft 2 and a "high speed mode" for directly transmitting the driving force to the output shaft 3.
