Preparation of saponified oleoresin containing carotinoid, comprises mixing solid form of unsaponified oleoresin containing carotinoid with small-size and/or powdery alkali metal hydroxide and saponifying the obtained mixture. Independent claims are included for: (1) saponified oleoresin containing carotinoid, obtained from the above process; and (2) feed containing saponified oleoresin containing carotinoid.
