<p>A support film (2) is attached with adhesive to a textile fabric (3) carrying the loops (5) of a hook and loop fastener. The adhesive is applied in a frame (6) round the edge, 5 to 30 mm wide, and to limited regions within the frame comprising 20 to 80 % of the total enclosed area. The adhesive can form a pattern of points, parallel or crossing strips, or cells. The fabric (3) is warp knitted with a filament yarn base (4) and knitted-in loops (5). An independent claim is included for the process of applying adhesive to a film (2) as a frame with enclosed adhesive-free areas and bonding it with a textile loop fabric (3). The adhesive can be applied in a rotary printing process and the film can have visible markings or markings only visible under ultra-violet light.</p> |
