<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, method and program for recycling secondhand goods which will not pose a heavy burden on a user even if it is expensive to recycle the secondhand goods. <P>SOLUTION: A Web server, when the estimated cost Pest of secondhand goods is not more than a threshold value P1, determines that for a secondhand goods recycling system a secondhand personal computer is not worth buying, and then determines whether or not the secondhand personal computer is recyclable (S220). When it is determined to be recyclable, a recycling instruction screen is created (S230) and this routine is complete. On the recycling instruction screen, recycling instructions which state that although the user is supposed to pay the cost of recycling the personal computer, a coupon ticket equivalent to the recycling cost is issued, the cost needed for recycling the personal computer, a recycling button which the user should select if agreeing with the instructions on the screen desiring the computer to be recycled, and a cancel button which the user should select when not desiring the computer to be recycled, are displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
