The wiper has a wiper arm (1), and a fixing unit (3) that is fixed at the wiper arm. The fixing unit comprises a boss (4) that is fitted on a drive shaft (5). The fixing unit is inserted in a form-fit manner in one of the two possible orientations in a recess (2) in the wiper arm. The fixing unit comprises a knurl that engages in a corresponding knurl provided at an edge of the recess.
