The invention relates to a device (1) for moving gas cylinders or carboys. The invention comprises means (3) for storing the gas cylinders in the form of a rack which is mounted to transport means (40) and means (6) for loading and unloading the cylinders that are stored in the rack. The invention is characterised in that (i) the rack can be removed such that it can be moved from the transport means (40) to a storage area (5) and (ii) the loading/unloading means (6) can move in a movement area (7) such as to deliver the carboys stored in the rack automatically from the storage area (5) to a delivery area (8), said means (6) comprising an articulated arm which is equipped with means for gripping the cylinders in the rack and which is mounted to the movement means with at least one degree of freedom. |
