PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for rolling bearing, which is equipped with an enhanced easiness in filling operation for the bearing with a lubricant. SOLUTION: A plurality of balls are interposed between the raceways of an inner ring and outer ring of a rolling bearing and held rotatably by a pocket 3 formed at one end of a ring member 2 to be inserted between the inner ring and outer ring. A chamfer 15 is formed at the peripheral edge of the other end of the ring member 2, and a radially directed groove 16 is formed at the other end, and an axially directed groove 17 is provided at the periphery. Thus a retainer 13 is formed and is set in the bearing, and lubricant is poured into the groove 16 so that it flows through the groove 17 into the pocket 3. The chamfer 15 allows the lubricant to flow easily into the pocket 3 even from the periphery of the ring member 2. Thus the easy access of lubricant to every bearing part can be established effectively and uniformly, and the lubricating performance for the bearing can be enhanced. |
