PURPOSE: A selective prepayment service system of a cellular phone and a method for supplying the service are provided to selectively give a cellular phone service for prepayment, by a dialing form of a destination telephone number. CONSTITUTION: A selective prepayment service system comprises: a local exchange for relaying a call of a cellular phone; and a prepayment server of the cellular phone connected through the local exchange and a mobile communication network, and connected through a HLR(Home Location Register) managing a subscriber's profile and through the local exchange, and for managing a database of a subscriber who registered for a prepayment cellular phone service within money on deposit, by previously depositing the money. A method for supplying the service comprises the steps of: forming an unregistered status value in a selective prepayment service of a cellular phone, a registration inactivated status value, and a selective prepayment service field of a cellular phone which can be set up as a status value including a registration activated status value, in the subscriber's profile managing in the HLR; receiving a call of the cellular phone including a destination phone number; and processing the received call of the cellular phone to a general call, when the selective prepayment service field is set up as the unregistered status value or the registration inactivated status value.
