PURPOSE: A method of preparing Mg-based alloy electrode having high capacity is provided which improves the cycle life of the Mg-containing alloy electrode. CONSTITUTION: In the method of preparing Mg-based alloy electrode having high-capacity, the alloyed elements in the cathode of the secondary cell are substituted with Ti and Zr, both of which well generate passive oxide film in preparing alloy, to improve the cycle life of the Mg-based hydrogen storage alloy and the metal composition after being substituted with Ti and Zr is Mg1.0-x-yTixZryNi1.0, wherein x is 0.01-0.3 and y is 0.01-0.2.
