COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR SKIN WHITENING COMPRISING FERMENTATION SOLUTION OF TRADITIONAL ORIENTAL HERBS

A skin whitening cosmetic composition comprising a fermented solution of a hot water extract of traditional oriental herbs is provided to show excellent toxicity reducing effect in melanoma cells, inhibit melanogenesis in cells by effectively inhibiting tyrosinase protein expression and tyrosinase activity, thereby showing excellent skin whitening effects and being applicable to a skin-applied cosmetic and an edible cosmetic product. In a skin whitening cosmetic composition comprising a fermented solution obtained by fermenting a hot-water extract of a traditional oriental herb mixture consisting of Atractylodes lancea, Broussonetia kazinoki, Mori Cotex Radicis, Paeoniae radix, Poria cocos, Cnidium officinale, Angelicae Gigantis Radix and Glycyrrhiza uralensis, the extract is obtained by adding 1-3 parts by weight of the traditional oriental herb mixture to 100 parts by weight of water and extracting it at a temperature of 100-121 deg.C for 1-3 hours, the fermented solution is obtained by adding 0.2-.05 part by weight of an yeast extract, 0.2-0.5 part by weight of a malt extract, 0.4-0.7 part by weight of peptone, and 0.8-1.2 part(s) by weight of glucose to 100 parts by weight of the extract and fermenting it using an Aspergillus sp. strain at a temperature of 20-30 deg.C for 3-15 days and the content of the fermented solution regarding a total weight of the cosmetic composition is 2-4 wt.%.
