<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for diffusing a minus ion and a volatile component by using a plant body, capable of changing the indoor environment in a state close to natural environment by diffusing the minus ion and the volatile component such as phytontid and capable of carrying out diffusion close to natural diffusion by always operating the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A diffusing part 1 is inserted into soil 6 in which the plant body 4 is planted and an electrode body attached to a part inserted into the soil of the diffusing part 1 is connected through a circuit part 2 to a connecting plug outlet 3 and minus voltage is applied to the electrode body. As a result, the plant body 4 is charged to a minus electric potential to diffuse the minus ion.
