The method involves applying decorative layers (26, 27) e.g. wood veneer, on corresponding steering wheel rim bodies (24, 25) e.g. half-shells, by pressing with a mold and a counter-mould, where each layer has two edges that are spaced from each other over the thickness of the layer. A projection (31) protruding from the body is positioned in a distance between the edges, and the decorative layers are pinched at one end of the protruding projection, where the end is distal to the bodies. An independent claim is also included for a steering wheel comprising a lining part. |
