摘要 A method for avidin immobilised on an inert support material, e.g., agarose, is disclosed. The method for producing a fibrin monomer comprised: 1) Subjecting a fibrinogen-containing composition to a biotinylated enzyme to convert the fibrinogen in the fibrinogen-containing composition to fibrin monomer and form a fibrin monomer/biotinylated enzyme mixture 2) Introducing a material having an affinity for biotin into the fibrin monomer/biotinylated enzyme mixture so that a complex of the affinity material and biotinylated enzyme are formed; and 3) Separating the complex, and thereby the enzyme from the fibrin monomer product; 4) The material having an affinity for biotin is a stable composition of avidin immobilised on an inert support material comprising: a) an avidin/inert support component; b) a bulking agent selected from nonionic water soluble compounds; and c) a protectant.
