production of solid fuels as substitutes for natural solid fuels; applicable as fuel in everyday life, for boiler of communal-general service, power stations, in furnaces for railroad passenger cars. SUBSTANCE: method includes introduction of cellulose-containing material of vegetable and wood origin (or production wastes of wood-working and wood-pulp and paper and other industries containing similar wastes) into sludge of municipal sewage waters, before its mechanical dewatering, in amount of 0-95% of fuel dry weight and their combined grinding to obtain homogeneous mass with formation of cellulose fibers of two types: long fibers sizing 0.1-1.0 mm, and short ones sizing less than 0.05 mm. Produced mixture is freed from fat on sludge grounds up to moisture content of not in excess of 85%, milled with material moisture content not above 65%. Then, fuel semiproduct is dried at temperature of not below 80 C and pressed in form of fuel member (briquettes, granules), or burnt in pulverized state. For continuous performance of process, dewatering on sludge grounds is effected on three areas operating by cycles using the following procedures: supply of initial, prepared homogenic mass onto sludge area, dewatering (drainage, evaporation, freezing out), working by milling technology (layer milling, gathering, turning). Drying may be accomplished with fuel material obtained by milling technology with moisture content of not in excess of 50%. EFFECT: ecologically protected process, saving in natural fuel resources, utilization of wastes and intensified production of fuel materials. 3 cl, 1 tbl
