There is provided a method of dispensing fuel comprising the steps of: receiving input indicating a required value of fuel to be dispensed; calculating a volume of fuel from said required value; and supplying that volume of fuel. The volume of fuel is calculated by subtracting a predetermined amount from the required value to determine a new value, and then dividing by the unit cost of fuel. The steps of the calculation are set out in figures 7 and 10. Apparatus for controlling a fuel dispenser according to this method is also claimed. |
