A computer-implemented method, and associated apparatus, for printed document verification involves obtaining document content data 101, and processing parameters 103 which includes an imposition data and document finishing data. The imposition data describes at least one imposition signature for the document and the finishing data describes the application of one or more finishing operations to be performed in order to produce the printed document. The received data is passed to a representation system 108 which generates an electronic output representation of the document to be printed and finished, in accordance with the content, imposition and finishing data. An operator can preview this electronic representation, for example on screen, prior to printing to check for errors that might arise. |
