A method for controlling a DEF(DE-Frost) mode in an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to uniformly maintain a flow rate by raising an operational voltage of a blower motor to a predetermined voltage if the operational voltage is less than the predetermined voltage. A method for controlling a DEF(DE-Frost) mode in an air conditioner for a vehicle comprises as the follow steps. The selection of a DEF mode is determined(S10). An operational voltage of a blower motor is detected if the DEF mode is selected(S20). That the operational voltage is less than a predetermined voltage is determined(S30). The present operational voltage of the blower motor is raised to the predetermined voltage if the operational voltage is less than the predetermined voltage, so that the blower motor is driven to increase a flow rate(S40,S50). The present operational voltage is maintained if the present operational voltage exceeds the predetermined voltage.
