PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite film of high quality having excellent dimensional stability at high temperature and having a metallic oxide-containing layer excellent in crack resistance, particularly a composite film suitable for a process/releasing film and a protective film for use in an electric insulating material and a molding material for a motor, a transformer or the like, a circuit board material and optical member material or the like, and suitable for a lithium ion battery material, a fuel cell material or the like. SOLUTION: A biaxially oriented polyarylene sulfide composite film is provided in which at least one side has a layer (M layer) containing a metallic oxide, wherein the surface resistivity of the surface of the M layer is 1×103to 1013Ω, and each of thermal expansion coefficients at 60 to 160°C in the longitudinal direction and width direction lies within the range of 0 to 40 ppm/%RH.
