PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved washing machine scarcely causing a malfunction when detecting bubbles by constituting a bubble detection sensor provided in a circulation air duct so as to prevent easy sticking of lint. SOLUTION: The bubble detection sensor has an earth side electrode 35 and a detection side electrode 36 provided so as to project to the inside of the air duct 31. The respective electrodes 35 and 36 consist of cylinder bodies with a large diameter and their ends are rounded into hemisphere faces. The projection of the electrodes 35 and 36 toward the inside of the air duct 31 is regulated so that the diameter and the projecting dimension of the electrodes (the cylinder bodies) are almost equal to each other. This constitution can reduce the accumulation of lints or the like on the electrodes 35 and 36 and reduce the generation of bubble detection malfunction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
