<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability in transmission of image information, and high speed responsiveness and to accurately obtain a drum phase in real time in a simple constitution without installing a detection element for specifying the phase for an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum 2 with an exposure source (electrostatic image forming means) for forming an electrostatic image. <P>SOLUTION: The drum is provided with an optical communication means 35 transmitting data from an image forming apparatus main body during a drum rotational period to the drum 2 with its own exposure source detecting the phase of the drum and at the same time, forming an image. Light receiving elements are installed in a ring form around a rotational shaft 24 of the drum 2 and data is transmitted to one of the light receiving elements installed in a ring form from a light emitting element 34 fixed on the image forming apparatus main body side. The light receiving part receives data by discriminating the light receiving element in an optical spot formed by the light receiving elements 34 and at the same time detects entry and exit of the light receiving element from the light spot and determines the drum phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
