PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial marble which is excellent in mechanical strength, and also has the texture not available in conventional artificial marble. SOLUTION: The artificial marble can be obtained by molding under heating and pressure a molding material which is obtained by adding 5 pts.mass or less of colored polymeric film fine pieces having thickness of 100μm or less and an average diameter of 0.1-10 mm to 100 pts.mass of a material including a reinforcing fiber containing basalt fiber, a thermosetting resin and an additive. It is preferable that the reinforcing fiber contains 10 mass%-100 mass% of basalt fiber. This artificial marble can be preferably used for kitchen ceiling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
