PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel-cell stack capable of achieving a small and flat SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell) of high reliability, a method of manufacturing it, and an SOFC using the stack. SOLUTION: The solid electrolyte fuel cell stack comprises a stack of cell plates each having a solid electrolyte layer coated on its upper and lower surfaces respectively with a fuel electrode layer and an air electrode layer. Cell plates A each comprising an air electrode layer 2, a base 4, a solid electrolyte layer 3 and a fuel electrode layer 1 stacked in that order and cell plates B each comprising the fuel electrode layer 1, the base 4, the solid electrolyte layer 3 and the air electrode layer 2 stacked in that order are stacked alternately. The air electrode layers or the fuel electrode layers of both cell plates are brought into contact with each other and an air passage or a fuel passage is formed by the channeled air electrode layers and the flat air electrode layers or by the channeled fuel electrode layers and the flat fuel electrode layers. |
