PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attenuator which has excellent characteristics up to a high-frequency range and has an easily-designed resistor. SOLUTION: The attenuator is characterized by having a first sheet film resistance part 001 which connects an input signal electrode 003 and an output signal electrode 004 at a predetermined distance and has resistance with a first resistance valueτ<SB>1</SB>distributed and a second sheet resistance part 002 which is electrically connected to the side of the first film resistance part 001 in the direction of the predetermined distance and the ground parallel to the side and has resistance with a second resistance valueτ<SB>2</SB>distributed between the side and the ground.
