PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping device of new structure capable of exhibiting an excellent vibration damping effect even against low-frequency large-amplitude vibration input to a vibration member of large mass, maintaining a compact size and excellent durability. SOLUTION: A rubber bush 18 formed by connecting an inner shaft member 86 and an outer cylindrical member 84 to each other through a rubber elastic body 88 in the radial direction is used. This rubber bush 18 is disposed in a fitting part 74 of a plate spring 11 to at least one of a mass member 14 and a vibration member 20, and one of the inner shaft member 86 and the outer cylindrical member 84 is fixed to the leaf spring 11, and the other thereof is fixed to the mass member 14 or the vibration member 20 wherein the rubber bush 18 is disposed so that a moment is generated in the twisting direction of the rubber bush 18 when the mass member 14 is displaced by the vibration to be damped.
