PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive stereolithography apparatus which produces three dimensional models using photocurable resins. SOLUTION: A number of blue LED's are provided. An optical fiber is connected to each of them. Exposure head 23 is constituted by attaching GRIN lens to the tip of the optical fiber. Exposure head 23 casts the image on the tip surface of each of the optical fibers as a light spot 55 and forms an image on exposure region 24 on a photocurable resin. The diameter of light spot 55 is e.g. 0.5 mm. But the size of pixel 71 in exposure region 24 is far smaller than light spot 55, e.g. 62.5μm. The many optical fibers on exposure head 23 are arranged in a staggered fashion to form a matrix in a way that light spots 55 are lined with a pitch of pixel 71 of 62.5μm along the direction of the horizontal scanning (Y axis). While exposure head 23 scans exposure region 24 along the direction of the vertical scanning (X axis), multiple exposure is made by putting on all the light spots capable of casting light on the pixels and exposing pixels 71 to be cured in exposure region 24.
