PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner consumption detection method and device therefor which can accurately detect the toner consumption of each color with a simple construction in a color laser printer. SOLUTION: In each image generation process of C, M, Y and K, the value of printing dots is integrated for one page by a counter 2. In an arithmetic circuit 3, the integrated value is multiplied by a coefficient for every color, and an offset value is added to that. With this constitution, the toner consumption for every color is obtained. |
