PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string fastener for use in binding a mouth part of a planar or bag-like package made of flexible material with contents stored in it. SOLUTION: In the string fastener the string is laced through a hole formed in the center of a stopper A, and the front end of the string is got back through the hole making a loop of the front end of the string. The front end of the string is furthermore laced through a center hole of the stopper B, and then through the loop made with the stopper A making a new loop similar to the loop described above so that the two loops of the strings can cross each other.
