A composite suspension element including a spider and/or surround for high-power, compact electro-acoustic transducers comprises a non-woven fiber blend encased in a thermoplastic elastomer. The composite suspension element is capable of supporting the longer stroke distances of the high-power, compact electro-acoustic transducers and exhibits improved fatigue and ageing resistance.
