Flexographic printing machine comprises a counter pressure cylinder (26) and printing couples each having printing rollers (24) and ink rollers (23) positioned with their both ends on printing roller blocks (3) and ink roller blocks (4). The printing roller blocks and the ink roller blocks are arranged behind each other on a common guide (5) to move relative to the counter pressure cylinder. Each printing roller block can be adjusted using a printing roller spindle (18) which axially slides in a spindle support head (21). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a flexographic printing machine. Preferred Features: The spindle support heads of the printing roller spindles have an axially protruding pin and holders have a pocket hole for receiving the pins.
