A connector is provided to enable a fitting portion of the other connector to be surrounded by the shell body of a shell of the connector when the connector is fitted to the other connector, thereby shielding two connectors connecting with two substrates and miniaturizing the connector. A connector(1) includes a housing(3), a plurality of contacts(5), and a shell(7,A,B,C,D). The housing has a fitting portion fitted to a fitting portion of the other connector and is disposed on a substrate. The plural contacts are disposed at the fitting portion. The shell has a shell body disposed around the fitting portion, is mounted to the housing, and has a shell contact portion and a shell terminal portion(74). The shell contact portion is in contact with the grounding contact of the other connector. The shell terminal portion is fixed to the first grounding pattern of the substrate.
