PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently removing a nonimpact print ink and an adhesive from waste paper stained with the ink and the adhesive. SOLUTION: This method for removing a stain of waste paper comprises (1) a process for repulping the waste paper to form a slurry, (2) a process for successively adding a density increasing agent exhibiting >2.0 g/cc density and then a flocculating agent to the slurry to give a treated slurry, and (3) passing the treated slurry through a conical cleaner so as to remove the nonimpact ink and the adhesive from the stained waste paper. The density increasing agent is a mixture of a polymer and magnetite. |
