<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material which has excellent printability and head matchability. <P>SOLUTION: This heat-sensitive recording material keeps on the support overlaid with a heat-sensitive recording layer contains a normally colorless or pale-color electron-donative dye precursor, an electron-acceptive compound which makes the dye precursor develop a color through a chemical reaction on heating.
