<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidizing compound obtained by subjecting an olive leaf extract to bioconversion with a yeast, to provide an extract containing the compound, to provide a cosmetic additive, a food additive, a cosmetic and a food comprising the extract and to provide a method for producing the compound. <P>SOLUTION: The novel compound comprises a specific pyran ring. The bread yeast-treated olive extract comprises the compound. Furthermore, the compound is useful as an antioxidizing composition and can be used as the food additive or the cosmetic additive.
