PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection system by which troublesomeness in operation for installing and housing a projector and a screen is lessened, and an easy-to-assembly type screen need not be prepared specially even when the projector is used in a room where the screen is not installed. SOLUTION: The projection system 1 is equipped with the projector 100, a screen device 200 having a screen 210 and a raising and lowering device 220, a housing box 300, a power source part, and a control part. The control part has a function to control an opening/closing device so as to open a cover part 320, control the raising and lowering device 220 so as to raise the screen 210 and control a light source device drive part so as to turn on a light source device when a power source current is supplied from the power source part, and to control the raising and lowering device 220 so as to lower the screen 210 when supply of the power source current from the power source part is stopped.
