PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition from which an excellent formed product exhibiting heat insulating properties, lightweight properties, transparency, water absorptivity, hygroscopicity, colorability, color development, electric insulation, slipperiness, corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, abrasion resistance and resistance to falling-off, and free from coarse protrusion can be formed. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains hollow particles comprising shells of a metal oxide, and the formed product of a fiber or a film is produced by forming the composition. The particle suitably has an average primary particle diameter of from 20 nm to 1μm measured by a transmission electron microscope method, and average particle diameter of from 20 nm to 3μm measured by a dynamic light scattering method. Preferably, pores of 2-20 nm are not detected in the pore distribution measured by mercury porosimetry of the shell of the hollow particle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
