PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device for a vehicle capable of accurately diagnosing not only disconnection and short circuit of a brake torque sensor but also gain deviation and drift. SOLUTION: The brake control device for a vehicle is equipped with a plurality of wheel brakes each mounted on right and left front wheels and right and left rear wheels, a plurality of brake torque sensors for detecting brake torque occurring in the respective wheel brakes, a plurality of actuators for individually controlling brake torque of the respective brake sensors, and a controller for performing anti-lock control of a wheel or turning attitude control of the vehicle by operating the respective actuators based on detection of each of the brake torque sensors. The controller includes a failure diagnosing means for comparing detected values of each of the brake torque sensors with each other and diagnosing failure of each of the brake torque sensors based on the compared result, and a diagnosis inhibiting means for inhibiting diagnosis of the failure diagnosing means when the anti-lock control or the turning posture control is being performed.
