PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving belt edge separation and enhancing durability by suppressing a warp occurring at an end in the belt width direction of a belt layer, and improving sideways slip of a vehicle and enhancing driveability by suppressing the occurrence of ply steer force. SOLUTION: The belt layer 30 of the pneumatic tire 10 comprises a carcass 16 straddling in a toroid shape and extending between a pair of bead cores 20, a tread 28 disposed on the radially outer side of the carcass 16, and the belt layer 30 disposed between the carcass 16 and the tread 28. The belt layer 30 is formed by a belt ring 32 composed of one to a plurality of annular cords covered by unvulcanized rubber disposed once around the tire circumferential direction so that one portion of the belt ring 32 is overlapped. Thereby, a warp at the end in the belt width direction of the belt layer 30 is suppressed, and the occurrence of ply steer force can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
