PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a stamping device, the pressing force of a stamp against a printing medium of which can be retained constant even under the condition that the pressing position of the stamp against the printing medium varies. SOLUTION: In the stamping device 1, the stamp 2 is mounted through a stamp mounting stand 3 slidable backwards relative to a slider 4 instead of directly mounting to the slider 4 under the condition that the stamp mounting stand 3 is pulled forwards by means of a tensile coil spring 35 not to slide backwards. Even when the pressing position of the stamp 2 by the slider 4 varies back and forth, the variation is absorbed through the sliding of the stamp mounting stand 3 by means of the extension of the tensile coil sprint 35. The stamp 2 mounted on the stamp mounting stand 3 is pressed against the surface of the printing medium 8 at a certain pressing force by the spring force of the tensile coil spring 35. Consequently, even under the condition that the pressing position of the stamp 2 by the slider 4 varies, the pressing force against the printing medium 8 of the stamp 2 is retained constant.
