<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an elastic roller which reduces the clearance between a mold and a nozzle so as to control the formation of a void. <P>SOLUTION: The method has an injection process of bringing the nozzle of an injection apparatus into contact with the mold and injecting a material into the mold. The surface of the nozzle brought into contact with the mold(nozzle contact surface) has an axially symmetric recessed shape and is composed of a flat surface directed outside from the central axis and perpendicular to the central axis and a part of a conical surface having an acute angle with respect to the central axis. The surface of the nozzle brought into contact with the mold(mold contact surface) has an axially symmetric and recessed shape and is composed of a flat surface directed outside from the central axis and perpendicular to the central axis and a part of the spherical surface having the center on the central axis. In the injection process, the central axes of the mold contact surface and the nozzle contact surface are aligned, and a nozzle-pressing force is applied in the direction of the central axis so as to bring the nozzle into contact with the mold while matching simultaneously the conical surface of the nozzle contact surface with the spherical surface of the mold contact surface and the flat surface of the nozzle contact surface with the flat surface of the mold contact surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
