<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration capable of determining any one transmission system for each broadcasting channel even if terrestrial wave digital broadcast is received in two transmission systems. <P>SOLUTION: A cable television receiver includes: a first tuner unit for tuning and demodulating a signal sent in a first transmission system and outputting a first TS signal; a second tuner unit for tuning and demodulating a signal sent in a second transmission system and outputting a second TS signal; a storage unit for storing beforehand preferential transmission system information representing a preferential signal if both the first and second TS signals exist for a certain broadcasting channel; a transmission system selection unit for generating selected transmission system information by selecting a transmission system on the basis of the preferential transmission system information, the first TS signal and the second TS signal; and a TS signal selection unit for selecting either the first TS signal or the second TS signal on the basis of the selected transmission system information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
