NOVEL ISOPRIMEVEROSE-PRODUCING OLIGOXYLOGLUCAN HYDROLASE, GENE ENCODING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an isoprimeverose-producing oligoxyloglucan hydrolase by preparing the enzyme from a microorganism belonging to genus Oerskovia as a prokaryotic microorganism, elucidating its enzymatic characteristics, further taking out its gene, and furthermore a gene technology using the gene.

SOLUTION: A prokaryotic microorganism growable by utilizing oligoxyloglucan as a carbon resource has been screened from the natural world and the isolated microorganisms has been examined whether the isoprimeverose-producing oligoxyloglucan hydrolase is produced. As a result, genus Oerskovia Y1 strain belonging to genus Oerskovia being a kind of Actinomyces has been found to produce the enzyme. The enzyme has been purified and its amino acid sequence and a base sequence of its gene has been elucidated. The present invention has been completed by establishing a method for producing a recombinant enzyme in large quantities using the gene.
