PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus management device capable of shortening authentication time by simplifying processing to a database of a tree type directory structure. SOLUTION: An in-office information authentication method permits use of an apparatus required for use, when both area information coincide, by collating room information associatively stored to card ID with a room number associatively stored to a printer entry, an alias of an entry of a user associated to the same room number and the printer entry are associatively managed by the database of the tree type directory structure.
